Turkey Counting Syllables Sorting Activity
Students will sort the turkey feathers into the correct basket according to how many syllables are in the word. Students will work with words that have 1, 2, 3, or 4 syllables. This makes a great hands on center for students needed phonological awareness practice in counting syllables.
What is Included:
- Turkey Sorting Mats for 1-4 syllables
- Turkey Feather picture cards
These syllable sorting mats make a great hands on literacy center for students to practice counting syllables in words. The bold, easy to recognize pictures allow students to count the syllables of each word independently.
How to Use:
Students will lay out the 4 syllable mats and then sort the feather cards into the correct turkey according to how many syllables are in the word.
